Canvas Scroll Printing

A company came to us with a problem.
They were celebrating 50 years in business. They wanted a custom display piece with their logo, their event branding, their story – printed on canvas. Something premium enough to present to their founder.
But it also had to fit in a gift tube. And travel to the event venue. And hang on a wall pin in 30 seconds with no tools.

A stretched canvas wouldn’t work – too rigid, too bulky. A paper poster wouldn’t work – too cheap, too fragile. A framed print wouldn’t work – too heavy, too breakable.

So we made them a canvas scroll.

120×33cm. Printed on our Giclée printer with genuine Epson ink. Varnished for long-term display. Rolled up in a tube.
Unrolled at the event, hung on a single hook, and it was the centerpiece of the evening.

That’s what a canvas scroll does. Canvas quality – without the bulk.

What Is a Canvas Scroll And Why Would You Want One?

You already know what a canvas print looks like. Rich colour, textured surface, that unmistakable depth that flat paper can’t match.

Now, imagine you could roll it up. Slide it into a tube. Carry it to an event, a gallery, a friend’s house, another country with minimal transport stress. Pull it out, hang it on a hook, and it looks like it was always there.

That’s a canvas scroll.

We print your image onto canvas using the same Giclée printer and the same genuine Epson ink as our stretched canvases. But instead of stretching it over a rigid wooden frame, we mount both ends onto lightweight scroll rods. The canvas hangs flat under its own weight. The bottom rod keeps it taut.

It looks like a canvas. It stores like a poster tube. It hangs in seconds.

This is NOT the same as our Chinese hanging scrolls (those use rice paper and are a completely different product). A canvas scroll is actual canvas, modern construction, built for people who want flexibility.

How We Make It and What You Get

Step 1: Send us your image. We show you a preview first. Before we print anything, you get a free Photoshop preview at your chosen dimensions. See exactly what the finished scroll will look like. Change anything you want. Approve it, then we proceed.

Every scroll is printed on our Giclée printer with 100% genuine Epson UltraChrome Pro ink. If any print is found not using authentic Epson ink, you get a full refund AND keep the print.

Step 2: Choose your canvas.

OptionWhat it isBest forTurnaround
Varnished canvasPrinted canvas + protective varnish coat. Resists fingerprints, dust, UV fading. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.Gifts, keepsakes, long-term wall display, anything you want to last years.2–3 working days
Waterproof canvasDifferent material with built-in water resistance. No varnish needed.Events, temporary displays, banners. As fast as 1 working day

Not sure which? Default to varnished : it lasts longer, looks richer, and protects the print. Pick waterproof if you need it tomorrow or have no foreseeable long term needs.

Step 3: We print, mount, and finish. Canvas is printed, then secured onto scroll rods. A hook is installed on the top rod. For wider scrolls, multiple hooks for even weight distribution.

Step 4: Delivered in a protective tube. Rolled up, compact, easy to transport. Ship it anywhere. Store it standing in a corner. No bubble-wrap fortress required.

Any Size You Want

This is where canvas scrolls beat stretched canvas.

Our stretched canvases come in fixed-increment sizes.

Canvas scrolls? Fully custom. You tell us the exact dimensions you need.

DimensionRange
WidthUp to 100 cm (1 metre)
Height30 cm to 200 cm
Minimum size30 × 30 cm

Need a 100×35cm piece for a corporate display? Done.
A 60×90cm flash sheet for a tattoo studio? Done.
A 45×100cm panoramic landscape for a hallway? Done.

You’re not constrained by frame sizes. You design the dimensions. We make it.

Who’s This Actually For?

Corporate gifts that need to impress; and travel. The 50-year company milestone scroll we made? The customer designed it themselves on Canva. Their company logo, the event organiser’s logo, custom text. We printed it, varnished it, and rolled it into a presentation tube. The founder received it at the event. It’s now on his office wall.

If you’re organising a company event, a retirement gift, an award piece: a canvas scroll lets you create something custom, premium, and portable. No glass. No bulk. No damage in transit.

Tattoo artists and photographers who move their work. You don’t exhibit in the same place every time. Conventions, studio open days, client meetings, pop-ups. A stretched canvas needs a van. A canvas scroll needs a tube in a bag.

Print your flash sheets, portfolio pieces, or exhibition prints at full size. Roll them up between gigs. Set up takes 30 seconds – hang it on a hook, done. No mounting, no setup crew, no stress about dented corners.

Home art you actually swap out. Here’s the reality about stretched canvas: once it’s on the wall, it stays on the wall. You’re not going to take down a 24″×36″ gallery-wrapped canvas, wrap it up, and store it just to try something different.

A canvas scroll? Unhook it. Roll it up. Hang another one. Change your living room for the season. Rotate between your favourite photos. Your walls don’t have to be a permanent decision.

Schools, clubs, and event organisers. Performance backdrops. Club banners. Event signage. Display art for a fundraiser. Lightweight enough for a student to carry. Durable enough to reuse. Cheap enough to justify for a single event – and it’ll survive several.

Gifts that cross borders. Sending a personalised canvas to someone overseas? A stretched canvas is a nightmare to ship: bulky box, high shipping cost, high damage risk. A canvas scroll goes in a tube. Fraction of the size and weight. Arrives intact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it sag or wrinkle when hung? No. The canvas hangs flat under its own weight. The bottom rod adds enough tension to keep it taut. We’ve made scrolls up to 2 metres tall without sagging issues.

How durable is it? The varnished version gets the same protective coating as our stretched canvases: fingerprint-resistant, dust-resistant, light-fast. Wipe it clean with a slightly damp cloth. The waterproof version handles humidity and light moisture by design.

Can I print photos, or only artwork? Anything. Photos, digital art, logos, event graphics, calligraphy, designs. If it’s a printable image file, it goes on a canvas scroll. Printed on the same Giclée printer with the same Epson ink as our stretched canvas.

What’s the difference between this and your Chinese hanging scrolls? Completely different product. Chinese hanging scrolls are Xuan paper (rice paper) printed and heat-mounted onto traditional scroll with solid wood rods and damask cloth borders. Canvas scrolls are actual canvas on modern rods. Different look, different feel, different price. Choose based on the aesthetic you want.

Can I stretch it over a frame later? A canvas scroll is designed to be displayed as-is. If you want an unstretched canvas you can frame later, order a canvas sheet print instead – same printer, same ink, no mounting.

How do I hang it? Hook(s) come pre-installed on the top rod. Put a nail or adhesive hook on your wall. Hang it. Done. For wider scrolls, we install multiple hooks so the weight distributes evenly.

How fast can you make one? Waterproof canvas (no varnish): as fast as 1 working day. Varnished: 2 working days. Need it faster? Tell us the deadline – we’ll tell you what’s possible.

You’ve Don’t often see a Product Like This. That’s the Point.
